On the Table Greater Akron is a semi-annual forum that brings together diverse residents from all walks of life to share a meal and discuss meaningful ideas to strengthen the community.

Project Goals

On the Table Greater Akron is an event that we worked on with our long-standing partners at the Akron Community Foundation (ACF). On the Table is a national initiative that encourages community members to host and participate in diverse, group mealtime discussions within the community, and ACF was awarded funding to implement this program.

For the social media strategy, organic social posts, and a Facebook PPC ad campaign, we wanted to speak to both community members looking to host a conversation and residents looking to join a conversation. The campaign included people-focused banner ads speaking to each audience as well as a video ad to encourage viewers to make a difference in their community. Each ad and organic post gave the viewer a quick snapshot of the On the Table initiative with a call-to-action to click and learn more about the event.

The goal was to remind community members of the message: “Your Voice Matters!”, and through the elements of this campaign, inspire residents to share a meal, meaningful conversation, and ideas.
