The Fairlawn Area Chamber of Commerce offers networking events and opportunities for businesses and professional firms in the City of Fairlawn and the surrounding communities. As members of the Chamber ourselves, we know how important the website is for delivering information and attracting new members. With this project, we were able to give back to a Chamber we truly value, and redesign a website that sees us as part of its target audience.

The main goals of this redesign were to make the site mobile-friendly, attract new members and easily promote upcoming events. We've achieved all this and more, in several ways. From the very beginning, we planned to build this site responsively, meaning it will adapt to any screen or device. This is crucial for users like members on the go, who need to check upcoming events quickly.
Attracting new members begins on the homepage, with impactful photos, a mission-type statement prompting users to join, and a prominent display of the Circle of Excellence, an elite level of Chamber membership. Upcoming events are easy to see and are featured right on the homepage, as well as in the events calendar.
We've also improved the Membership Directory, making it easier for users to search for members by name or category. Like the rest of the site, it is fully responsive and functional on all devices—from your desktop down to your smartphone, and everything in between. As with all of our websites, the Fairlawn Chamber site is built on our CMS, mojoPortal, making editing content easier than ever. We've kept and improved upon some of the already convenient functionality from the previous site, such as paying member dues and applying to join.
The fresh new look, ease of updating, and ability to use the site on any device make this a great step forward for the FACC, allowing them to gain more members and provide current members with the information they need.
