Where, oh where, to put the homepage button on a website? Based on usability studies it should typically be provided on the left side in the main navigation bar. Also, your logo should be hyperlinked to your homepage as well.
Now, I’ve seen the homepage button placed in many other areas of the header as well. Irregardless of placement, users still want and need this little button to get back home. Keep in mind there’s a large group of Web users not familiar with the practice of clicking on company logo to return to the homepage. So, regardless of placement, make sure its somewhere in the header of each page to be safe.
