Web Designer – Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY
Evolve Creative Group is looking for a very creative Web designer to join our fast-paced and growing team. In this role, you will work closely with our Web design team on projects including, but not limited to, all areas of the Web design process, microsites, email marketing, social media, responsive design and much more. If you have video/animation experience you will be at the TOP of our list!

QUALIFICATIONS

BFA/BS degree and/or a strong online portfolio
1-3 years experience as a Web designer or similar role
Strong proficiency/expertise in Adobe Photoshop
Great visual eye and a knowledge of typography, color and composition
Understanding of common UI design patterns & practices
General understanding of information architecture and wire-frames/prototypes
Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
Knowledge of common browser-compatibility issues and experience testing and debugging them
Familiarity with PC working environment and Microsoft Office Suite
Must be able to work on many different projects at one time in a fast-paced environment
Must bring enthusiasm and creativity to each and every project
Have a strong affinity for the Internet and the digital lifestyle
Consider yourself a self-starter who is well organized and has the ability to multitask
The ability to make things happen with limited direction
Collaborate well with others and thrive in a customer-focused team environment
Demonstrate creative problem-solving and communication skills
Possess an excellent sense of humor
Flash animation experience a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES

Designing websites for a diverse range of clients and helping maintain/enhance the Evolve website
Lead selected projects through all phases of production, including creative development, design and wireframes
Collaborate with design team on creative development on all assigned projects
Work on a variety of projects, including websites, microsites, email design, social media and logo design
Stay abreast of new trends in design communities and suggest new ways to implement these trends/technologies

QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BFA degree and/or a strong online portfolio
1-3 years experience as a visual effects artist, video editor, or similar role
Tripod and/or hand-held/shoulder-mounted filming experience
Thorough understanding of video equipment and lighting systems
Script writing & storyboard creation
Experience editing video
Experience keying green screen footage
Experience integrating sound/music clips
Experience with animation and special effects
Experience with YouTube, Vimeo, Brightcove and other third-party networks
Experience in creating visual effects for different platforms: Web, TV, film, etc.
Expert knowledge of Adobe After Effects and familiarity with other Adobe production programs
Familiarity with PC working environment and Microsoft Office Suite

Lead selected projects through all phases of production, including creative development, pre-production, production/shooting, post-production, finishing/delivery
Collaborate with design team on creative development and post-production on all assigned projects
Collaborate with designers to develop multi-platform visual content
Stay abreast of new trends in content and technology in the motion graphic and video production communities and suggest new ways to implement these trends/technologies
